Namaste! Welcome to Melbourne. Join  our walking tour exploring the lanes and arcades, culture, history, retailers, art and architecture in Melbourne’s vibrant city centre with your Melbourne Walks guide from India.

Hi, my name is  Mohana, I am from Southern India and am doing a Masters in Sustainable Tourism at Monash University. I speak Hindi, English and Tamil and have the wonderful privilege of being a tour guide for Melbourne Walks, one of the city’s oldest walking companies.

Like India, Melbourne has a British colonial past with many beautiful buildings from the gold rush era as well as stunning modern designed buildings. The city centre is famous for its lanes system, the ‘piazzas’ of the city, This makes extremely easy to visit on foot its architecture, theatres, shops, confectioners, museums and attractions. In recent years these lanes have also become ‘galleries’ to some of the world’s best street art. Melbourne is also a cultural melting pot with 140 cultures side by side and many cuisines as a result.

Join me on the Namaste Melbourne Tour. I would be delighted to introduce your group  to this beautiful city voted five times the most liveable city in the world. Our tours start from outside the Melbourne Visitors Centre, Federation Square. They are usually 2.5 hours and by arrangement at a time and date of your convenience.
